One of those shows was Sliders, and the Fantragic team share their memories of it in our popular Nether Regions segment. In keeping with sliding, our Doctor Who Dump is concerned with an early story that had the team hurtling to oblivion in a runaway TARDIS. Edge of Destruction is our story of choice this episode. We also review the first two stories from the new season of Doctor Who, and take a look at the DVD releases of Planet of Evil and The Time Meddler. Soon to be the only website in the universe where you can get an original, authentic hand-made podcast by four sci-fi tragics from Australia. In this episode the Fantragic team of Trevor, David, Geoff and Tony look at vulnerabilities, the achilles heel that makes all our heroes just that little bit more believable as they strive to rid the world of evil. The team has a spirited discussion of the different types of vulnerabilities afflicting the heroes of TV and film. And in keeping with the spirit of all things fallable, our Doctor Who Dump features a story with some monsters that have probably one of the most famous handicap, that of gold! The Fourth Doctor battles the nasty Cybermen in Revenge of the Cybermen. Our Nether Regions look at a recent but by no means unworthy addition to our memories, Spiderman, a hero with even more susceptibilities than most!. And in case you are wondering, Tony gets closer to the microphone around the 20 minute mark. In this episode the Fantragic team of Trevor, David, Geoff and Tony look at al things metallic and robotic. Our Doctor Who Dump looks at the first meeting of the Doctor and the Cybermen, Tenth Planet. Our Nether Regions delve back and tap into our childhood with the children's comedy favourite, Short Circuit. And we ask our listeners to share with us their favourite robots. The team has their own ideas on which ones are the best. What are yours? Download Podcast #54 Saturday, February 23. 2008Podcast #54 - the new beginning Glad to see you have found your way safely over to fantragic.com, the new home for the MMM Commentaries podcasts.Apart from a new domain and website, not much has changed with the podcasts - it still has the stuff you know and love! All the old MMM Commentaries podcasts are slowly being migrated over to this site - within the next week everything should be in place. Podcast #54 will be out by Friday 14th March. Podcast #53 is the end of an era for MMM Commentaries. The decision has been made to move our podcasts to a brand new website - fantragic.com. As of episode #54 our podcasts will be on this website. But fear not, we will have a transition period for about a month where we will still have the podcasts available on the MMM Commentaries feed and website, to ease you through the change. With the release of #54, the new fantragic.com website will be up and running (it isn't much to look at right now, so please don't look). But the last MMM podcast still has plenty of interesting stuff to keep you amused. In this episode the team has a spirited look at continuity and canon, the bane of any true fan-boys existence. Is it important, do modern shows sacrifice it for the sake of a good story, and does it all really matter anymore? The Desperates are asked the important question of "Where the hell is my flying car?". Sci-fi has been promising us all these whizz-bang gadgets and innovations - just where are they all? And don't forget Geoff continues to amaze us with upcoming DVD and cinema releases, all rolled in with the team's trademark banter and breathtaking cynicism. Geoff continues to delight us with upcoming releases, and we also take a look into the not too distant future with what is coming up for 2008. The randomness of the Doctor Who dump this time takes us back, back, back, back (a little help here guys..) to the very first season of Doctor Who, indeed a story that began the whole historical bent of classic Who, Marco Polo. It's not often we look at something from our Nether Regions that modern audiences don't have some way of being able to see, but this time we have. Marvel at the cinematic debut of Maxwell Smart, Agent 86 in the Nude Bomb. We provide a suitable coda to our recent horror filled podcast and our feature length commentary on the first Omen film, with a look at the remaining films from the Omen series. And I am sure we can squeeze in a little more to round out the show! We need some more Dear Desperates questions from you - so if you have a moment and have a question that you think needs answering (or in fact have a subject you want to hear the MMM team's opinion on) drop by the forum and leave a post. Earn the respect and silent envy of your mates when you tell them you got name checked on an MMM podcast! Download Podcast #52 Wednesday, January 9. 2008Fantragic Podcast #51

A new year, a new podcast, and a new broom. The MMM podcast gets a bit of a touch-up for 2008 with new theme music, new feel and new voiceover talents. Unfortunately you are still stuck with the same old MMM presenters of Trevor, David, Geoff and Tony though. Come explore in our Nether Regions and see us unearth a fondly remembered tv show from all our childhoods - The Time Tunnel. See if you can spot the cunning way we cover up our total lack of knowledge over just how long it ran for. The Doctor Who Dump goes primeval with caves, reptiles, pretend dinosaurs and disease. Doctor Who and the Silurians goes under the microscope, to see if we can find a cure. A special bumper What's Up Geoff with not only a look into what is coming up on DVD and in the theatre, but a look back at the year that was and we discuss our favs and not so favs from 2007. Firstly apologies for the lateness of this podcast - Trevor now knows better than to try and edit a show around Christmas time! It is heartening though to see the posters on the forum excusing this lateness with theories of special treats and goodies in store. And whilst this show is a little late, we have at least been able to deliver on the pressies by giving you a podcast that will keep you happy over the holiday period. Podcast #50 has a Nether Region for one of the grand-daddies of all sci-fi films - Close Encounters of the Third Kind. The Doctor Who Dump gets Tony all excited as we cover the first story from the Producer-ship of the most important helmer in Doctor Who's history - Philip Hinchcliffe. We speak of none other than the classic Ark in Space. In response to listener requests, the MMM boys take a trip down memory lane and have a bit of a look at how MMM got started, how it has kept going, and what is in store for listeners in 2008. Still in reminisce mode, we take a look at the history of Doctor Who Weekly/Doctor Who Magazine, the publication that for many holds fond memories of a childhood reading Matrix Data Bank, the letters page and the classic story breakdowns. To say nothing of those amazing posters! Add to this Geoff keeps us informed of things to fill yours, and others Christmas stockings with What's Up Geoff. So apologies again, but I am sure you will find the show worth the wait. A Merry Xmas from MMM to all our listeners, your families and friends. We hope to be back buzzing in your ears again in 2008.
